On Wednesday 25 October 2023, IFWEA hosted a webinar covering 16 countries and 19 organisations who participated in the Study Circles for Social Change programme in 2023. Topics included a focus on C190, Climate Change, and Migrant Rights. Each organisation made a presentation on what they had achieved, including social dialogue with decision makers, and building networks and partnerships.
The webinar reflected on the objectives for 2023, as well as the specific plans for each organisation, regarding each topic. Each organisation also listed their key achievements, which included the publication and dissemination of handbooks, training, digital campaigns, video creation and developing advocacy action plans.
The countries represented were Palestine, Bolivia, Malawi, Mocambique, Uganda, Malaysia, Philippines, Kenya, Nepal, Zimbabwe, Peru, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Venezuela and Lesotho. The organisations were MUFIS, WIENU, PERTIMIG, IBTIKAR, CEPRODE, SOLIDAR Mocambique, SIMCARRD, KDWAL, NCTU, INAESIN, KUHABWO, ISD, ETU, LEF, PATSIME, KHANYISA, PLADES, ZCIEA and CLASS Nepal.
