COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course teaches practical skills to help you work and lead better in groups, understand group dynamics, communicate effectively, and become more self-aware and inclusive.
WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR?
This course is for activists, educators, trade unionists, and community leaders who want to improve their group work, leadership, and communication skills to support collective action and social change.
PRE-REQUISITES: WHAT ARE THE REQUIRED CRITERIA FOR ATTENDING THIS COURSE?
- A device such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone
- A stable internet connection
- Access to email and a web browser
- Ability to use basic online tools (like Zoom, Google Docs, or a learning platform)

Module 5: Awareness and Listening Skills and Communication Styles

DESCRIPTION AND TOPICS: Module 5 helps develop awareness and listening skills while exploring different communication styles, including assertive, passive, aggressive, and passive-aggressive.

Module 6: Unconscious Bias

DESCRIPTION AND TOPICS: Module 6 examines unconscious bias, its contributors, and how to counteract it, along with exploring the Pyramid of Hate and the importance of language.
